Benefits of Ultrasounds During Pregnancy

By: Maria Bronson

If you are pregnant you are probably eagerly anticipating the ultrasound scan. These private scans are completely safe for both you and your unborn baby and can provide an insight to your little one while in utero. A woman can have just one scan during the pregnancy or several, all of which can be determined by the physician. But private scans do so much more than offer a sneak peak at your baby.

Using a sonography machine to transmit high frequency waves through the stomach, a private scan offers a choice of 2D, 3D or 4D options however, it is rare that a 2D ultrasound be used thanks to the advances that produce clearer images of baby. It is up to the mom to decide which of these options she would like to have, as cost is also a factor to consider.

Regardless of which type of ultrasound private scan that you choose you will be able to clearly see the movements of the baby as well as his entire body. The more advanced ultrasounds may even show clear images of baby's face, fingers and toes. The scans can detect any abnormal features such as cleft palate that the baby may have or determine that a healthy baby is growing inside. Heart defects, gestational age and the position of the placenta are also reasons that an ultrasound may be required.

The most beneficial aspect of an ultrasound is the peace of mind that it offers to the parents. Seeing your growing baby inside and knowing that things are going according to plan is priceless, as is catching any problems as quickly as possible!

Doctors may use one of 7 different types of machines in order to perform the ultrasound, including transvaginal and a normal ultrasound using a Doppler machine and scanning it across the stomach. The type of instrument and ultrasound that will be performed will vary according to your desires as well as the birthing centre that you have chosen.

Ultrasounds do not cause any pain to mom or baby, though some women do complain that they can cause a bit of discomfort when using certain types of the ultrasounds. If you become uncomfortable or feel discomfort tell your doctor and another type can be used.

It is a wonderful time when you are expecting a baby, and now that you know the wonders that an ultrasound can do for you, you can rest more soundly the entire 40 weeks of pregnancy knowing that your baby is safe and sound inside, all thanks to the wonders of sonography.

A Pregnancy Diet Plan For A Healthy Pregnancy

By: Jeremy Sidon

Diet plans for pregnant women are important in order for them to ensure the health of their Unborn babies. And a healthy pregnancy diet plan means pregnant women have to follow a highly nutritious diet. A pregnant woman needs to have at least four servings of dairy products in order to provide the baby with vitamin D and calcium to promote bone growth. Pregnant women also need to eat lean meat, chicken and fish as proteins, DHA and EFA from these food items will support muscle and brain development. And in order for both mommy and baby to develop strong immune systems, a pregnant woman needs to top off her diet plan with loads of fresh fruits and vegetables in order to get the vitamins and nutrients they both need.

But apart from considering the healthy food a pregnant woman needs to eat, she also needs to know what things she should avoid in order to maintain this healthy diet plan. To begin with, you have to learn quickly a pregnant woman's diet plan is not the same diet plan a woman who is looking at how to lose stomach fat fast follows. While you should never deprive yourself of food or skip meals, you should try not to eat too much either. This is because it is going to be very difficult for you to give birth if you gain too much weight. This is why it is very important for you to always check with your doctor to make sure you are keeping at your ideal pregnancy weight. It is also important to avoid not getting enough sleep or rest while you are pregnant. These few considerations will make a difference in your information as they relate to the pregnancy diet plan. Of course we strongly suggest you learn more about them.

Another thing is just because you are pregnant this already means you can eat whatever you want. In fact, among the first things you need to find out as soon as you learn you are pregnant is what to eat when pregnant. Ask your doctor for a list of the foods that you can and cannot eat and make sure you follow it to the letter. Although there is no problem in indulging in a bowl of chili or a plateful of tacos, for example you need to make sure you will only do this occasionally; you need to remember everything you are eating is also being ingested by the fetus inside you. A part of a pregnant woman's healthy diet plan is to always do regular exercises. These exercises actually need not be very extensive. You'll be surprised at how much regular short walks can help when the time comes to deliver baby.

What to consider when getting a pushchair

By: Victoria Armstrong

Are you choosing a travel system for your newborn or toddler? A newborn travel system ought to allow the newborn to lie flat, although prams and strollers for older infants and toddlers can have a reclined option. Take into account whether you plan to have more kids. It really is worthwhile investing in a durable travel system which will withstand use by two or more youngsters and still continue to be comfy. Should you be planning children close together in age, consider a tandem or double buggy.

After you've answered these questions, think about your price range. While a travel system is an essential purchase for your infant, it can be far too easy to be swayed by preferred brand name strollers for sale, modelled by celebrities or perhaps by your mates. Such brands might not always be the best and more importantly may not match yours and your child's needs.

If you're living in an apartment or a house with steps, or use public transport regularly, you may want to take into account a lightweight, folding buggy which can be quickly collapsed while holding your infant. Also consider a design which could be stored effortlessly. On the other hand, should you travel by car, take into account the dimensions of your boot as some pushchairs and pushchairs do not fold into a compact size. You will also have to lift the stroller in to the car and product weights can differ tremendously.

Buggy travel systems are a worthwhile consideration in the event you need to switch often from car to walking as they include a infant car seat and baby stroller in one. Those wishing to stroll frequently using a baby pushchair need to take into account the height of the product and opt for a model with lockable wheels for effortless manoeuvres. Should you appreciate walks in the country on rough terrain, then it's advisable to look at three-wheel, all terrain buggies which will make the experience a good deal more comfy for you and your child.

Buggy accessories and added components are also necessary to think about. Adjustable seat positions are necessary if your pushchair or buggy is to be used by your baby when they are older. Seating really should be padded for comfort and some seats might also come with a foot muff for colder times. A raincover and underseat basket are advantageous if you happen to be out and about.

These are only a number of of the things to think about when considering travel systems for sale. However, research and go through reviews on products you like to be sure you make a worthwhile and durable choice.

Pregnant with Twins: What to Expect

By: Nick Moutter

Being pregnant with twins may come as a shock or a blessing, you may think that you are managing to complete your family in one go. Knowing whether you are carrying more than one baby can only be confirmed in an ultrasound; usually you can see this from six weeks. You may suspect you are carrying twins if you are gaining weight, your uterus appears too large for your due date or you are suffering with severe morning sickness.

It is very common for twins to be conceived, but only one develops, this is called vanishing twin syndrome.

Symptoms

When pregnant with twins, you need to realise that you are carrying two babies inside you so you are more likely to get tired quickly. Ensure you get lots of rest; take naps when you can to keep your energy high.

You are also likely to gain more weight than women who are carrying only one baby. This may make you miserable and feel ugly, but remember this weight can be lost after the pregnancy so don’t get too despondent.

Morning sickness tends to be worse when you’re carrying twins. This is a result of the pregnancy hormones, you may find that you are vomiting and feeling sick all day long.

What Else You Need To Know

It has been proven that mothers carrying twins are more likely to be depressed after birth, if you feel depressed and it lasts a couple of weeks speak to your doctor or midwife for assistance. Speak to your partner about your concerns and make sure there is someone to help you when you bring the babies home and for a couple of weeks until your routines are set up and running smoothly.

Back pain is another common symptom in women carrying twins, your muscles strain with the additional weight. Resting or a warm bath will relieve the back ache.

Anaemia is also common along with high blood pressure, gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia. While this may sound scary, your midwife and doctor are used to twin pregnancies and will offer you additional testing and scans during the pregnancy to ensure you and your babies are healthy.

Bear in mind that a lot of twin pregnancies are premature, if you are working it’s a good idea to start your maternity leave early. You will be exhausted with carrying the additional weight around and if you do have a premature birth, you will be ready for it.

Tackling Common Myths before You Visit a Fertility Doctor

By: Kevin Schmiterson

Myths abound about infertility and its treatment. These myths can make you feel anxiety that is not necessary. Getting the facts will allow you to make an informed decision on visiting the doctor. The Kansas City metropolitan area is home to over 2.2 million people. Many couples in this area experience infertility. Many couples do not realize that infertility is a common condition that millions of couples will face at some point in their life. Modern technology and this commonality have offered options that were not there even a decade ago. You need to explore your options fully and visit a fertility doctor to get all the options.

If you are experiencing fertility issues, it is important to learn the facts before you visit a fertility doctor.

Myth #1 – Infertility treatments are too expensive. The reality is that most couples find that medication or a simple surgical procedure will correct the problems. Some couples will have their solution after a single visit to the doctor. Yes, this type of treatment costs money. However, for the most part, it is not as expensive as you might think it is.

Myth #2 – Infertility is very rare. The reality is that one in six couples experience infertility at some point in their lives. Some have no issues getting pregnant as young adults. However, later pregnancies may not happen. For others, the problems start right away. With so many treatment options available, however, it is important to work with a fertility doctor and get the problems solved.

Myth #3 – Most infertility problems are on the female side of the equation. About 40% of cases are solely caused by problems found on the female side of the equation. The other 60% are a combination of things. It may be solely on the male side of the equation. It may be a combination of both the man and the woman. In some cases, the fertility doctor cannot determine what is causing the problem.

Myth #4 – Most of the time infertility problems are insurmountable. The exact opposite is true. For most couples, there is some treatment option out there that will give them the baby they desire. It may be a matter of taking fertility drugs. It might involve a minor surgical procedure. It might involve a more advanced technique. However, for the majority of couples, there is hope.

Myth #5 – Diagnosing the cause of infertility takes years. Again, the exact opposite is true in most cases. With advanced techniques and a deeper understanding of what might go wrong, your fertility doctor can often make a diagnosis within the first or second visit. That means you may have a solution the day you seek treatment.

See how simple it is to schedule an appointment with a fertility doctor today.

Guidelines For Weight Training Throughout Pregnancy

By: Jared Dulle

There was a time when it was considered that pregnant women required plenty of bed rest with as little movement as possible and any form of exercise, even walking, was seen as the ultimate sin. However, nowadays, it has been shown that exercise, such as weight training, can actually be beneficial to both mother and child.

In this article, we will be discussing a few safe weight training methods you can use during your pregnancy to sculpt your body and stay fit.

One thing you should always watch for during your pregnancy is your breathing, irrespective of the type of exercise you are doing. This is extremely important when you are pregnant, even if it does bare remembering at other times too. First off, you should avoid intense exercise that leaves you out of breath. This means it's best to limit cardio exercises to moderate levels and lift lighter weights than you can handle. If you are breathing too hard, this can lead to undue pressure on your abdominal area and restrict the oxygen flow to the fetus. At this time, your goal should only be to stay fit and not improve your aerobic capacity. You need to avoid doing too much and straining yourself and the general rule is to ensure that your breathing is level when you exercise.

Exercise can be very beneficial during pregnancy but there are certain movements and positions to avoid. Don't do exercises that require you to bend from the hips and don't lift weights over your head. Don't do over head presses, for example, if you're lifting weights while pregnant. You should also avoid doing exercises that target the abdominal region. Exercises where you're lying flat on your stomach or back are also good ones to avoid. This may make it sound like you can't do anything, but there are actually many exercises you can do while standing or seated and that are safe to do during pregnancy.

How often to exercise during pregnancy is a common question. Your doctor can help you figure this out as there are several factors to consider. Your exercise habits prior to pregnancy do play a large role, however. Starting a vigorous program now if you didn't exercise before your pregnancy is not a good idea. However, if you had a consistent routine before, you may only need to modify it now. While you need to consider how you feel, a good routine would be three workouts a week that combine light stretching, cardio, and strength training.

There plenty of reasons you should exercise during your pregnancy and you should adhere to a workout designed to your particular situation, unless you have a medical condition that prevents it. It will not only make you feel better and reduce your stress levels, but it has benefits for your baby as well. You can reduce the intensity of back pain and joint issues with body sculpting and weight training, which will also help keep your muscles functioning properly. You will find that doctors routinely recommend to their patients that they exercise regularly for a variety of motives, including the issues presented in this article.

These hints may easily be useful for your needs throughout and also after the pregnancy period. Anyhow, in the event you among those females who have difficult to get pregnant, then look at the advice below.

Why You Shouldn't Smoke Through Pregnancy

By: Jared Dulle

The child of a mother who smokes during pregnancy is at risk for a long list of harmful effects. A single baby is not likely to develop all of the known issues but if you smoke while pregnant, you are guaranteeing your child will have at least some of them. Even though not too many studies have been done, there are too many known risks. We tend to feel there is a huge disconnect between what is known and what mothers, or potential mothers, are aware of concerning the risks. It is extremely important for women to know what the possibilities are if they smoke while pregnant. The following is information on just a few of the known consequences associated with smoking while pregnant.

If you are pregnant and want help to quit smoking, talk to your prenatal doctor or your family doctor. You can find various methods and products designed to help you quit smoking. Some of these aids still contain nicotine, however. A nicotine replacement patch, for example, puts nicotine into your bloodstream that can be absorbed by your baby. The nicotine in these patches is still a threat to your child's health even if it is better than inhaling the hundreds of carcinogenic chemicals found in cigarettes. Discussing the best approach for you with your doctor is still the recommended way to go. One very common problem caused by a mother smoking during pregnancy is low birth weight in their newborn baby. Then, there are additional complications that can arise from low birth weight. It is a proven fact that more than 20 percent of all babies born nationally are born with low birth weight conditions. Preterm labor is also common in mothers who smoke during pregnancy. Approximately 14% of preterm labors can be attributed to smoking during pregnancy. 10 percent of all infant mortality cases including SIDS can be attributed to smoking during pregnancy. According to the American Lung Association this is a true statistic.

The immediate, physical consequences of smoking while pregnant is naturally the focus. But, evidence is building that shows a correlation between smoking while pregnant and behavioral difficulties. For example, there is a range of problems including learning disabilities and general behavioral issues.

You can eliminate the common problems associated with smoking during pregnancy if you take action to quit smoking. The facts in this case are pretty black and white. Researching all the possible risks to your baby will provide further motivation to quit if you need it. The list goes all the way to infant death, still births, and a higher incidence of SIDS, or sudden infant death syndrome. Anyone can see that smoking during pregnancy is extremely harmful for your baby and for you.

These particular tips may easily be great for yourself in the time of as well as after the pregnancy time. Anyhow, in the event you one of the women who experience difficult to conceive a baby, then take a look at the bottom of this page.

Ideal Strategies For Losing Weight Soon After Pregnancy

By: Jared Dulle

When you were going out with your future husband, how long did it take people to start asking you if you were engaged yet?

Then they asked when the wedding would be. Next, they wanted to know when the baby was coming. Then, when you had the baby, they wanted to know why all your baby weight didn't immediately vanish. Once they are no longer pregnant, women often feel pressured to shed their baby weight as soon as possible. This can make life very difficult. After all, you're being told two things: to eat as much and as often as you want so that you can feed yourself and your baby and to lose your baby weight as quickly as you can. How can you do both?

Try to be patient. You may have heard stories in the media about celebrities who are able to return to their pre-pregnancy weight in less than a month. Remember, these women are free to exercise and go to spas while others are taking care of their babies. They have no restrictions when it comes to hiring nutritionists, personal trainers or anyone else who can help them lose weight in a hurry.

If you can't afford these luxuries, you have to be more realistic in your expectations. You have to be satisfied with losing weight at a pace that's appropriate for you, not someone else.

Losing the weight acquired during pregnancy generally takes around nine months, about the same as it took to gain it. Nine months, then, is a doubly significant time period when it comes to pregnancy. This means that it takes you nine months to gain all of your baby weight so it should take nine months for you to get back to your old size.

This can allow you to put it into perspective rather than try to rush the process too much. You can relax, then, if you find that it's a few months since you've given birth and you still haven't lost all the extra weight. Just be attentive and you will soon drop those extra pounds. Sometimes you have a stubborn five or ten pounds that take a little longer to shed.

You should try to lose that baby weight but you don't need to stress yourself out about it. People who fail at losing weight after pregnancy are more likely to become overweight or even obese later in life. If you find that you are having trouble shedding your extra pounds, talk to your doctor. You might need to meet with a nutritionist to discuss caloric intake.

Some women find it more difficult than others to lose weight after pregnancy. This kind of weight loss is not as simple as the usual kind, where you simply cut back on calories and work out as much as you can. When you are caring for a newborn, you have different needs than someone who is not a new parent.

This means you need to approach your weight loss differently than you would have before you got pregnant or if your child were a little older. The key is really to relax and let the weight come off in its own time!

Each of these tips and hints may easily be great for you throughout and after the pregnancy period. However, if you among those females who have difficult to conceive a baby, then take a look at the bottom of this page.

Have you been struggling to conceive? Do not lose your hope!

Preparing for a C-Section

By: Kelly Hill

A Cesarean section, or C-section, is a surgical procedure that is performed to deliver a baby through the abdomen. C-sections are sometimes needed due to emergency factors that make it unsafe for the mother and/or baby to deliver vaginally. They can also be pre-planned and scheduled ahead of time.

If you have a C-section planned, follow these tips on how to prepare for your Cesarean delivery:

Research the Procedure

You do not want any unnecessary stress of the unknown when giving birth. Read all you can about what is involved with a C-section and exactly how one is performed. It can help put your mind at ease to know what will be happening to your body and baby during each step. Ask your doctor any questions you may still have regarding exactly what will transpire.

Get Your Bags Packed

Having a C-section means you will have a slightly longer hospital stay and you may be in the hospital for three to five days after the birth of your baby. You will need to make sure you have enough changes of clothes on hand. Be sure to pack comfortable clothes that are loose fitting in the abdominal area. You will also want them to be easy to get in and out of. Bring cozy socks, slippers, a sweater and a robe as well. Pack your favorite toiletries to have on hand to pamper yourself with in the days following your C-section.

Follow Hospital Instructions

They can vary from hospital to hospital, but there are some general preoperational directions that most will need to follow. Before the day of the scheduled C-section, you will probably need to have some lab work done to make sure you are medically able to undergo the procedure. You will most likely meet with your anesthesiologist to learn about your anesthesia options. You will also be asked not to eat or drink anything for at least eight to twelve hours before your C-section.

It can be comforting to know that you prepared yourself to the best of your ability. Education and clear communication with your doctor can allow you to relax and enjoy the successful birth of your child through means of a C-section.

Kelly Hill is a writer who enjoys writing on a number of different verticals. For more on C Sections, Worry Free C Section offers readers information on postpartum c section diets that can help the healing process.

Infertility Treatments And Complications

By: Su May Wee

Infertility has become a major problem among many people. Infertility clinics are now becoming an important industry. Here are some of the infertility treatments offered:

1. Fertility Drugs

Fertility drugs are used to treat female infertility by addressing ovulation disorders. These medications work like natural hormones to promote ovulation. Here are some common medicines used to treat infertility in women:

• Clomiphene citrate (Clomid): This oral medicine brings about ovulation by causing the pituitary gland to produce more FSH and LH. It is recommended for women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

• Human menopausal gonadotropin or hMG (Repronex, Pergonal), Follicle-stimulating hormone or FSH (Gonal-F, Follistim): These medicines are similar in effect to Clomid except that they stimulate the ovaries directly and not the pituitary gland. They are also injected and not taken orally.

• Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (Gn-RH) analog: Women who don't ovulate regularly or who ovulate prematurely are usually given this medicine. These medicines are usually injected.

• Metformin (Glucophage): Doctors use this medicine for women who have insulin resistance or PCOS. This medicine is taken orally to trigger ovulation.

• Bromocriptine (Parlodel): Women with irregular ovulation cycles caused by high levels of prolactin, the hormone that stimulates milk production in new mothers, are given this medicine.

• Follicle-stimulating hormone (Bravelle). FSH stimulates the maturation of egg follicles in the ovaries.

• Aromatase inhibitors. These are usually used on cancer patients and sometimes prescribed for women with ovulation problems.

2. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is also often called artificial insemination. Using this method, the woman is injected with sperm. IUI is effective in cases of mild male infertility, women with insufficient cervical mucus and couples with unexplained infertility.

3. Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)

Many babies have been born as a result of ART. Assisted reproductive technology (ART) works by extracting eggs from a woman's body and then mixing them with sperm to make embryos. The embryos are then put back in the woman's body. The most common method of ART is In vitro fertilization (IVF). It is often used when a woman's Fallopian tubes are blocked or when a man produces too few sperm.

Complications of infertility treatments:

• Unfortunately, fertility drugs increase a woman's chance of having multiples. This can cause problems during pregnancy and increase the risk of having premature babies.

• Another complication includes OHSS (Ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome). This can be very painful and may need to be treated.

• Bleeding in the mother or birth defects in the baby

Natural Treatment For Infertility

Because of the complications involved, natural remedies are viewed as superior as they are safer and also more effective. Most importantly, natural ways help improve general health of the parents and as a result, babies conceived through natural methods are healthier. It is possible to conceive naturally without drugs, over the counters and without risky surgery or side effects. Baby Shower Celebrated In Different Parts of the World

By: Julie Kerr

Some people say that these celebrations are done for the first child in the family, whereas the other people say that the celebration is done for all the new born in the family. The celebrations are done with all the women and men attending the function. Some people only invite ladies to the function, however there is no such rule. The baby shower is done either at homes or a bigger place, depending upon the number of guests. The guests include family members, friends, relatives and other necessary invites. There is no rule of where and when the shower to be held. It can be held either at the host’s place or any bigger place depending upon the number of people invited. The celebration includes food but not a full meal. Mostly the eatables include cakes, biscuits, tea and other snacks; however there is no such rule. The grandparents are also showered with gifts by the invites as there is a new member in the family.

There are many religions and regions in the world who celebrated baby shower in their own way. The name and the method of celebrating totally depend on one’s religion. The baby shower in most of the religions is done by women. The celebration includes giving out gifts, playing games such as taste the baby food, guessing the gender or the date of birth of the baby. The guests get gifts to the mother and if the baby is already born then the gifts include all the baby items such as baby toys, clothes, diapers, and other baby oriented gifts.

There are different religions which celebrate the baby shower in their own respective manner. In Islam, the baby shower celebration is known as "Aqiqah". This involves the sacrifice of sacrificial animals. The meat is divided into three parts. One part is given to the needy and poor, the second part to the relatives or for the celebration purpose if the occasion is celebrated among the relatives and friends and the third part for household itself. In India there are many religions and the names of the baby shower vary accordingly. In the Hindu religion the baby shower is known as "godhbharai" and in Maharashtra, it is known as "dohaaljewan". Since the regions are different, the celebration also differs. There are no such rules as it is just a celebration done to bless the mother and the baby. Since the celebrations are done with all the women oriented activities, most of the men term it as a Women oriented celebration. But there are also people who take this occasion in a get together manner. The etiquettes differ and the celebrations differ from religion to religion, but the concept remains the same. There are several beliefs and the celebrations are done according the religion.

Julie Kerr is a blogger and likes reading books during her free time. Women oriented books like baby shower are mostly preferred by Julie. Julie Kerr has read a lot of book about the celebrations done by women. The baby shower concept sounds really interesting as this celebration is very common in the whole world.

How to Deal with Difficult Situations during Pregnancy

By: Kate Lyn

Pregnancy can be a particularly difficult time for some women. You may, for example, be worried about being alone with your new baby, perhaps because you do not have a partner, you have unwillingly become pregnant or have chosen to have a baby by yourself, or your relationship with your partner may be difficult or you are exposed to violence at home. Alternatively, you may have an illness or physical condition such as epilepsy, diabetes, deafness, or are confined to a wheelchair, or develop pregnancy complications, which increase your anxieties.

'I was worried that my diabetes would get worse, that I'd have a "hypo" attack and fall over and hurt the baby, but the midwife referred me straight away to talk to the diabetic nurse-consultant about adapting my diet, who also answered lots of my other questions.'

There are professionals who can advise on these situations but it is not always easy to ask for help, or even to acknowledge to yourself that there are specific issues that are affecting you. On the other hand, significant stress could affect your baby, so think about how you can help him to develop, grow and be born safely, despite your situation. A checklist of specific things about which you may need to give some thought is included here.

What to think about if you have special difficulties in pregnancy

- Have relevant telephone numbers ready to call for immediate support and help.
- Arrange social support - family, friends, other mothers, voluntary groups.
- Think about who is going to be with you during the birth and immediately afterwards.
- Discover how you can meet other new mothers, perhaps those in a similar situation.
- Consider where you are going to live and with whom.
- Identify how you will afford/obtain things you need for yourself and the baby.
- Work out how you will physically manage to care for yourself and your baby.
- Find out about your rights to financial benefits, housing, childcare and other services.
- Determine whether the baby's father has any right of access.
- Identify the rights and role of your baby's grandparents.
- Make sure you try to find time for yourself.

10 things to remember

1. It is normal to experience a range of conflicting emotions when you first find out that you are pregnant.
2. Take steps to avoid starting any major project at work or home, if possible, to allow yourself the time and energy to come to terms with your pregnancy.
3. Ask for help!
4. Keep a Pregnancy Diary to record your thoughts and emotions, as well as all the physical things that are happening to your body and to remind you of the things you need to do.
5. Try organizing for you and your partner to spend just ten minutes a day discussing the pregnancy and how you feel about it.
6. Consult your doctor or local midwife early in your pregnancy so that arrangements can be made for your pregnancy care.
7. Write down any questions or concerns you may have and take your list with you to your antenatal appointments.
8. Midwives and doctors use a lot of jargon and abbreviations -ask them to explain anything you don't understand.
9. Explore ways of keeping relaxed and preventing yourself from becoming too stressed, as this will affect your health and that of your baby.
10. If you have particular difficulties during your pregnancy, such as domestic, social, medical or work-related problems, do not be afraid to seek out the various sources of help and advice which exist.

Fertility Treatment is an option for couples trying to have a baby

By: Francesca Knap

Having a baby could be one of the most important events in a couple's life. They might be yearning for a baby, but fate seems to have turned a blind eye to their wishes and that's when they turn to outside help. Infertility is when a woman is unable to conceive. The problems lie with either one of the spouses or both of them. The most common infertility problem in women is blocked fallopian tubes. And in men, the most common problem could be the lack of enough sperms. Infertility is diagnosed at a fertility clinic whether the couples have to undergo a series of tests and one to one meetings with their doctor.

Choosing a fertility clinic is a major concern. The proximity of the clinic, success ratio and rates charged there are the major factors that determine the choice. There are different methods to treat infertility and the doctor will advise them on the various techniques, including the chances of success for each. The couples have to weigh the pros and cons of each option before deciding to go ahead with the treatment.

Women's health is a major concern when couples decide to go ahead with fertility treatment. Normally, the chances of getting pregnant reduce as the woman ages. If a woman is not able to conceive even after having unprotected intercourse for more than a year, then she or her partner could be infertile. Only further tests can confirm whether that is true. The type of treatment chosen for an older woman will depend on a lot on women's health.

People have to go for different kinds of fertility treatments to get their reproductive system working in the right order. First, the fertility clinic will give some drugs to make sure the reproductive cycle for the women and the sperm count for men are balanced. Next, the clinic will simultaneously start on other treatments depending upon the severity of the problem. Artificial insemination is the most common form of treatment. Sperms from the partner will be placed in the woman's uterus and it will be observed closely. However, this treatment will not work if the woman has blocked fallopian tubes, ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis or any other genetic effect. In certain cases, surgery is the only option where the blocked fallopian tubes are repaired or cleared. It could be an extensive surgery or a simple one.

In Vitro Fertilization is done for women with blocked fallopian tubes. The eggs that are fertilized with the help of fertility drugs are taken from the ovaries and copulated in a dish at the laboratory. The end result will be an embryo. Once the embryos are ready to be placed inside the uterus, the doctor will save a few embryos for another cycle if the first doesn't work. This treatment will take about 4-6 weeks to see results.

Getting ready for fertility treatment is a decision made by both the couples and they have to reach a decision on far they are ready to go. Once the treatment is started there is no choice, but to go forward with the complete treatment in order to see positive results. Often couples have to go through stressful moments when they wait to see if the treatment has worked. It could be uncomfortable and could make the couple high strung. Relationships could go from bad to worse, but the couples should realise that the success of the treatment will depend on each person's physical health, luck and mutual understanding.

Fertility treatment is a decision made by both the couples and they have to reach a decision on far they are ready to go, also choosing a fertility clinic is a major decision.

How to Diet Well After Delivering Your Baby

By: Rendi Elifas

How to diet after having a baby? This is a question that most moms ask after delivering their baby. At first, you probably don’t realize about your body changes. You are full of happiness when your loved one comes into this world but soon thereafter, you find that you have gained some pounds. You realize that your tummy is mushy and you find stretch marks here and there.

Most moms experience this weight gain so you don’t need to worry about it. Your pre-pregnancy body can be restored as long as you practice a proper diet. With the right food choices of the right portions, it will be easier to lose those extra pounds. Below are some tips on how to diet after pregnancy to help you regain your body shape:
1. Know the right time to start dieting. After pregnancy, it is not recommended to start dieting too soon. Give your body time to recover from labor so that your diet program will run successfully. You need to wait until after your six-week postpartum checkup before you are ready to start a diet. How about dieting for breastfeeding moms? They are not recommended to go on any diet to lose weight until their baby is at least two months old. This is because early dieting will have an impact on their milk supply during the first months.
If you start a diet too soon, it can make you feel more fatigued and can postpone your recovery. It would be better to give more time for your body to recover and you will be excited to know how many pounds you lose naturally.

2. Know the limit. When losing weight after pregnancy, you need to be realistic about it. Remember that you probably will not be able to gain a body shape exactly like before the pregnancy. Most women find permanent changes after pregnancy such as larger waistline, softer belly and wider hips.

3. Combine your diet with exercise. Weight loss pills can be a shortcut to lose weight but they are not the best way to shed the pounds. To achieve the desired weight, it is important to do some exercises to lose fat instead of muscle. You can start exercising about six weeks after pregnancy and eight weeks if you had a cesarean. A little exercise such as walking around the neighborhood will help you burn the fat.

4. Try to avoid a restrictive diet. Instead, you should practice your diet program slowly especially if you are breastfeeding. Its aim is to ensure that your baby always obtains the right amount of milk supply. Generally, women need at least 1,200 calories a day and most women even need about 1,500 up to 2,200 calories a day to keep up the energy. Nursing moms need at least 1,800 calories a day but generally, they will need about 2,000 to 2,700 calories to nourish themselves and their baby.
There is another risk if you undertake an unusually rapid weight loss program. It can cause the release of toxins from your fat reserves into your bloodstream and into the milk supply. It is safe to lose about 1.5 pounds a week since it won’t affect your milk supply. This weight loss can be achieved by cutting out about 500 calories a day from your present diet.

5. Be selective about your food intake and drinks. In losing weight, you need to be selective in foods and drinks that you consume. Low-fat milk, whole wheat bread, fruits and raw vegetables are great choices to succeed your diet program. If you get bored consuming the same fruits and vegetables every day, you can make smoothies or vegetable salsas over chicken or fish.
Fats have more calories than carbohydrates or proteins. That means that reducing fat from your diet is a good way to cut calories. To limit your calorie intake, you can consume fat-free dairy products, boiled or baked foods, and reduce eating too many sweets. However, fats are also important nutrients so make sure that you don’t eliminate them entirely from your daily diet. However, total elimination of fats can cause you to feel hungry all of the time and thus consume more calories from increased carbohydrate consumption, especially between-meal snacks. To fulfill your fat needs, choose the "good" fats rather than the "bad" ones. Good fats are contained in avocados, nuts and seeds, olive oil, salmon, etc. Meanwhile, bad fats can be found in snacks and fried foods.

6. Watch your water intake. It is recommended that you take about eight glasses of fluids a day but make sure that your beverages do not contain calories like soda, sweetened coffee or juices. When thirsty, drink water. These simple steps will help answer your questions on how to diet after pregnancy.

Getting Pregnant Woes: Reasons And How To Deal

By: Jeremy Cunniff

Are you one of those women who feel so useless because you cannot get pregnant? Have you tried for so long and still cannot complete the whole term of a pregnancy? Getting pregnant may seem easy for some, the reason why birth control is a big industry but millions of women are struggling to have a baby.

Why I Can't Get Pregnant

There are many reasons why getting pregnant is not easy. There are biological reasons, lifestyles and medical problems that could contribute to your situation. Age is the most common reason why some women do not get pregnant easily.Women who are above 35 and men above 40 are least likely to get pregnant. The reason for this is that as we age, the egg and sperm lose their "quality" for fertilization. With this age, women ovulate less.Sperm count also lessen and mortality decreases with age.

Sometimes, even couples who seem healthy and young find it hard to conceive due to the kind of lifestyles they have. Couples who want to get pregnant must stop unhealthy habits like smoking and alcohol.Smoking and alcohol can lessen sperm count and will affect a woman's egg's health.Vices like these can also lower energy levels which can affect a couple's sex life. Weight can also be a hindrance to pregnancy.Being overweight and underweight will not only affect the sperm and egg count but it will make the body unfit to carry a pregnancy which is often the cause of miscarriages.

The Medical Reasons Behind "Why I Can't Get Pregnant?"

A not so simple case of not getting pregnant is when it is due to medical problems. Irregular ovulation among women is the most common medical blockage for pregnancies. While more complex situations are those with blocked fallopian tubes, thyroid problems and those with undetected diabetes. Complications from STD also prevent one from getting pregnant. You can always work this out with your doctor.Treatments can range from minimizing stress and taking supplements to more advanced fertility treatments.

Stop Crying About "Why I Can't Get Pregnant"

Frustrations and dismay are totally understandable but too much worrying about it can make your problem worse. However,if you become too obsessed with it, putting pressure on yourself – the less likely you will get pregnant. Stress is also a big factor in why it is hard to get pregnant and if you let yourself enter emotional and mental stress, you will definitely have a hard time getting pregnant.

Seek medical treatments, change your lifestyle and just let nature do its work. It takes 6 months to years of trying to finally get pregnant.Though there are many options available to have kids, having your own and giving birth to them is still a priceless form of happiness. There are many stories of couples who stopped trying but ended up getting pregnant.Relax and just wait for the right moment to grow a wonderful gift inside you.

Womens health is the most important consideration when deciding on female contraception

By: Alan Wulz

Family planning is an important part of every woman's life. Choosing the proper female contraception is the most important part of this consideration. Finding a contraception that does not cause serious side effects is important for all women. A womens health should not be put at risk because of birth control.

If you feel that you are finished having children there are many types of permanent contraception that are readily available. These types of contraception include blocking or tying of the fallopian tubes called sterilisation. This process is usually done in a hospital or clinic setting. The physician can now do this in a minimally invasive procedure. There are still some risks involved in this family planning permanent female contraception procedure.

Although family planning is usually done through female contraception, another option is through male sterilisation. The process of male sterilisation is often an easier process than for the females. The procedure is often done in a simple outpatient setting and the recovery, although sometimes painful, is usually fast.

Both male and female sterilisation is considered permanent. Careful consideration of the permanency of the procedure should be considered before it is undertaken. Although there are sometimes successful reversals of sterilisation, this is rare. The reversal procedure is expensive and requires a more invasive procedure.

Using oral contraceptives is one of the most common forms of female contraception used all over the world. When choosing a type of medication the woman's health should be considered. Some forms of oral contraception have side effects that can be bothersome for many women. The most common side effects for older women who take oral birth control, is bloating and weight gain. The pill should be considered dangerous for those who smoke are over 35 or have other health risks. Only a doctor can decide if this form of birth control is right for each woman.

There are other forms of birth control to be considered. These include the intrauterine device and the diaphragm. Both of these can be dispensed by your health care professional. An intrauterine device is placed in your uterus and prevents implantation. This is done by tricking the body into thinking it is already pregnant. Side effects include cramping and risk of infection. The diaphragm is an older type of birth control and is fitted to your body. The device is placed in the vagina, usually with an anti-sperm medication before having sex.

Other types of birth control for family planning are available. There are new oral medications that prevent ovulation and prevent monthly menses that are now available. Exploring all of your options can help you and your partner make these important decisions. There is also the old fashion way of knowing where your cycle is and when fertility is most likely to happen. Condoms and spermicides medications are also a option for those wishing something safe and easy, these methods however, are not as reliable as other forms of birth control.

The womens health is the most important consideration when deciding on birth control. With the proper research and your doctor's approval, finding the best choice for your body should not be difficult. Womens health and safety should not be taken lightly there are plenty of safe choices for everyone.

Finding a female contraception that does not cause serious side effects is important for all women. A womens health should not be put at risk because of birth control.

How to Approach Your Partner about Infertility

By: Kevin Schmiterson

If it has been almost 24 months and you're still having difficulty getting pregnant, then it may seem like an impossible task to talk to your significant other about the possibility that one of you may be infertile. After all, it's a very personal subject that many people are embarrassed to discuss openly. The most important thing you can do at a time like this is to remember that infertility is not a topic that should be discussed during an intimate moment. Instead, try broaching the conversation in a setting that relaxes both of you, like a coffee shop in the Power and Light District. The last place that you want to bring up the possibility is on the drive to your Kansas City fertility clinic!

When you're trying to convince your partner to go to a Kansas City fertility clinic, the first step involves being understanding of their concerns and any insecurity that they may be feeling. It may help to reassure them that it could be you that has the fertility problem, or it may even be a combination of factors that include both of you. The only way to know with any surety is to speak with an infertility doctor. Sometimes, the fix is as simple as waiting out the side effects of birth control medication or incorporating more vitamins into your diet.

Similar to being understanding and supportive of your partner, it's also important to remember that you shouldn't ever fall into the trap of placing blame, regardless of how well they take your initial suggestion to see a doctor at the Kansas City fertility clinic. To avoid any name calling from occurring, it may help to try presenting just the facts, like how long you've been trying to conceive and any statistics that are associated with your age group. If your partner decides that they would like to accompany you to the Kansas City fertility clinic, then you should make sure that both of you take the time to find a facility that you're comfortable with. Fertility doctors in Missouri are used to patients requesting an interview, so don't be afraid to call the clinic and ask for one. After all, there's no point in sticking with a patient-doctor relationship that doesn't foster healthy communication and honesty, especially since being forthcoming about your lifestyle, medications and health are all key components to a successful fertility treatment.

This Kansas City Fertility Clinic is the region’s most experienced in helping infertile couples become parents.

Natural Infertility Treatments

By: Larry Wurn

You’ve received your fertility evaluation from your fertility specialist and now know the reason you’ve been having trouble getting pregnant. Happily, your condition is treatable. Your next step is to choose an infertility treatment plan. Choosing a plan depends on:

• the cause of your infertility
• your age
• your overall heath
• your lifestyle, including your ability to pay for infertility treatments

Medical Infertility Treatments

Happily, a number of infertility treatments are available to you. The three best known medical infertility treatments are:

• fertility drug therapy
• surgery to repair damage to or remove abnormalities from reproductive organs
• assisted reproductive technologies such as artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization

Medical infertility treatments, even with their risks, have helped millions of women get pregnant and deliver healthy babies. But you might prefer a more natural infertility treatment. Happily, once again, you have options.

Natural Conception

You probably learned about natural conception and rhythm in your high school health or biology class. The latest research shows that the optimum time to get pregnant is the day of ovulation. The second best time is three or four days before menstruation, with frequent intercourse.

Along with following the natural cycles of your body, you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle as part of your natural infertility treatment. That means exercise (of course) and taking in the things that boost fertility and avoiding the things that increase the risk of infertility.

Doctors recommend you avoid:

• tobacco
• alcohol
• caffeine, especially coffee, but even that found in cola and chocolate (sorry)
• xenoestrogens, chemicals found in pesticides that show up on fruits and veggies (go organic)

Doctors recommend you increase your intake of:

• leafy green vegetables, legumes, chicken liver, and others sources of folic acid
• Brazil nuts, cod, tuna, and other foods that contain the trace mineral selenium
• oysters, toasted wheat germ, sesame seeds, and other foods that contain zinc
• salmon, halibut, walnuts, and other sources of omega-3, one of the essential fatty acids

You can also get these nutrients from supplements. But before taking any supplements-or any of the so-called fertility herbs such as Vitex agnus-castus-check with your doctor or pharmacist for any possible harmful drug interactions, especially if you’ve ever taken birth-control pills or fertility drugs.

Massage

Energy bodywork as an infertility treatment has a number of advantages: it’s noninvasive and drug free; it has no side effects; and it usually feels good. Who can turn down a nice massage? Besides the feel-good effect, bodywork as an infertility treatment works. Massage:

• helps to stimulate growth of reproductive hormones
• increase blood flow to reproductive organs
• decrease stress
• contribute to a healthy pregnancy by boosting the immune system and strengthening muscles for childbirth

Reiki, reflexology, and the Wurn Technique are used as fertility massage. The Wurn Technique, in particular, has proven very effective as an infertility treatment. This procedure works by breaking down adhesions (scar tissue) that interfere with the normal functioning of the reproductive organs.

Acupuncture

A mainstay of Chinese medicine, acupuncture has been used for centuries as an infertility treatment. According to the principles of Chinese medicine, acupuncture needles are inserted in specific points in your body to help stimulate blood flow to the reproductive organs and restore hormonal balance. As a natural infertility treatment, acupuncture is often teamed up with herbal medicines in capsule of tea form. (Go for the capsule; the tea usually tastes terrible.)

How a Fertility Clinic can Help Couples trying to Conceive

By: Ned Brumby

Fertility Treatment: The field of medicine concerned with treating women, men or couples who experience difficulties in conceiving babies. Infertility is the inability to conceive via normal sexual activity. It should not be confused with sterility. Sterility is the total failure to produce a child.

Typically, women and men take it as a given that they will be able to conceive when they are ready to start their Family Planning. This generally holds true for the majority of people; however, some couples are unable to conceive naturally. Their repeated efforts prove fruitless, and the attempts to start families become prolonged series of disappointments and emotional ups and downs. Medically, when a couple have attempted to conceive by regular sexual intercourse - without the use of any form of birth control - for at least one year, infertility is diagnosed. Infertility could be due to physical, medical or psychological conditions.

With normal fertility, sufficient numbers of healthy sperm from the man are delivered into the woman’s vagina. The sperm then travel through her uterus and into the fallopian tubes where at least one of the sperm is needed to penetrate one female egg. Once successfully penetrated, the fertilised egg becomes implanted within the lining of the woman’s uterus. If a problem arises at any stage of this process, infertility will be the result. A specialist at a Fertility Clinic is best placed to diagnose and treat underlying conditions that prevent successful delivery and fertilisation.

Conditions that lead to infertility include blockages in the reproductive pathways, hormonal imbalances that interfere with ovulation, low sperm count or sluggishness in sperm movement and infections. The variety of causes means that treatment for infertility is not a one-size-fits-all process.

Fertility Treatment is generally undertaken at a Fertility Clinic. The clinic is staffed by qualified and experienced medical personnel who carry out myriad tests to diagnose the problem on a case-by-case basis. The clinical team typically includes embryologists, nurses and reproductive endocrinologists. Nutritional clinicians may also be available to give dietary advice.

Clinicians can also assist with a couple’s Family Planning, whether they want just one child or a number of children. If more than one child is planned, the specialist can advise on the proper way to proceed after the birth of the first offspring.

Options for Fertility Treatment include:

- Counselling

If the problem is psychological, the specialist will offer advice on sexual techniques that may increase the chances of conception.

- Drug Therapy

When the problem is hormonal, fertility drugs are used to regulate ovulation in the female patient. A different type of hormone therapy is used to treat sperm issues in males.

- Surgery

This is performed on the partner who has a physical obstruction or abnormality.

- In vitro fertilisation

The woman’s eggs are removed and fertilised in the laboratory. They are then replaced inside her body to allow normal gestation to occur.

- Artificial insemination

Donated semen is injected directly into a woman’s uterus when she is ovulating.

Prospective parents who have difficulties conceiving will find that a Fertility Clinic is highly sensitive to their needs, and that Fertility Treatments have hugely successful outcomes. Couples and individuals should not hesitate to schedule consultations with clinics. By seeking and undergoing appropriate treatments, they can make their Family Planning dreams become a reality.

Fertility Treatment is generally undertaken at a Fertility Clinic. The clinic is staffed by qualified and experienced medical personnel who carry out myriad tests to diagnose the problem on a case-by-case basis.

For Some Women, Egg Donation is the Only Answer

By: Kevin Schmiterson

Most women who have trouble conceiving can achieve pregnancy with a bit of help. That is a fact. Many couples think if they are having problems conceiving the only options are very expensive and not likely to succeed. The reality is that for most simple surgical procedures or drug treatments can do the trick. Some men and women have blockages. For some women, there may be problems with producing viable eggs. Egg donation is one way to get around that problem. With the help of healthy donors, it is possible for women to conceive and carry a child of their own.

Some women do not have viable eggs. The ovaries are where the human woman produces eggs. For some women, their eggs may have problems coming to maturation at the right time. Injuries and accidents can damage the ovaries. For some, cancer or other disease may require the removal of the ovaries. The reality is that some women need help with egg production. A healthy fetus requires a healthy egg and sperm to even begin the growing cycle. For women who do not have a health egg, the egg donor can be an angel in disguise.

Egg donation is the only option for women who cannot produce their own eggs. When a woman has no eggs to use for conception, an egg donor is the only option. When a couple is facing this type of infertility, it can be devastating. Not having viable eggs can really wreck a woman's confidence. And it can strain even a strong marriage. However, with a bit of guidance and help, using a donated egg can give the couple everything they desire. They can achieve a healthy pregnancy and give birth to a happy, healthy baby at the end. Post Partum Girdle | The Easy Way to Great Post Baby Body

By: Bridget Hendricks

Having a baby is one of the greatest joys that a woman can experience. Holding your little one close to you, you feel like you're in your own little world, just you and your baby.

Having a baby is one of the greatest joys that a woman can experience. Holding your little one close to you, you feel like you're in your own little world, just you and your baby. But once you recover from your delivery and are ready to rejoin the world at large, having to deal with a post partum body is not a lot of fun. Instead of being able to slip into your pre-pregnancy clothes as you expected, you may be embarrassed at having to keep your maternity duds around for longer than you expected. But while you're waiting to lose that baby weight, you can use a post partum girdle to fit into your pre-pregnancy clothes.

A post partum girdle is a great way to get the post-baby body that you want without having to spend more time with a personal trainer than you do with your new baby. It's a great, temporary solution that can keep you looking and feeling great while your body works to catch up to where your mindset is. By providing just the right amount of compression and support, you'll be able to fit into all of your favorite pre-pregnancy clothes as soon as you're ready to rejoin the world at large.

Many women are concerned that using a post partum girdle will affect their health in a negative way, but it's actually perfectly safe. While girdles of old used to unnaturally compress a woman's internal organs because it was squeezing the body so tightly, a good, modern girdle only squeezes the body's soft tissue, and still allows the woman to breathe freely. Using a good girdle won't adversely affect your health, and it will also give you the slimmed-down look that you've been longing for ever since you started showing off your baby bump.

Using a post partum girdle can help you to get back into the swing of things, too. You'll soon be experiencing life as usual, except for the addition of your new bundle of joy. Instead of worrying about your appearance and what people will think, you'll be free to enjoy being a new mom without having to worry about what you look like or which of your clothes you can still fit into. You can wear whatever you want until your body catches up to the rest of your life. It can be a great way to speed up that feeling of normalcy in your life.

Drug Addiction Recovery for Pregnant Women

By: Brian Walker

When a pregnant woman is suffering from drug addiction, the situation is more serious because the effects of drug use not only applies to her, but her fetus is facing danger as well. It’s quite likely that when the child is born, it will suffer from bad health from day one.

Illegal drug taking can cause many health problems for pregnant female, such as hepatitis, anemia, sexually transmitted diseases, skin, hard and blood infections etc. Because the baby gets access to those illegal drugs indirectly, it’s quite possible that the baby will be born with illness as well. For example, research has shown that if a mother use heroin during her pregnancy, her baby might suffer from low birth weight. If children are exposed to marijuana or cocaine, they might suffer from attention deficiency, slowness in learning and behavioral problems. When exposed to methamphetamine, babies can suffer from poor quality of movement, fetal growth restriction and decreased arousal.

Another bad effect of drug addiction for pregnant women is the psychosocial effect. Pregnant female using illicit drugs often feel guilty, shame, denial, loneliness and embarrassment. The fear of being found and arrested can make them anxious and even depressed.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 4.3% of pregnant women recently used illicit drugs. Also according to that survey, pregnant female in the 15 to 25 age group are more prone to illicit drug use and cigarettes smoking than those in the 26 to 44 age group.

Fortunately, there are some treatment options for pregnant women with drug addiction and one can find many addiction treatment centers that can help pregnant female as well. The main treatment methods include: 1) Medications: For example, methadone maintenance combined with prenatal care and a comprehensive drug treatment program is an effective treatment method. 2) Behavioral Treatments: For example, motivational incentive approaches appear to be effective in treating pregnant women with nicotine, cocaine, opiate dependence. 3) Comorbidity: Study has shown that pregnant women with psychological problems are more prone to substance abuse, and vice-versa. Therefore, treatment focusing on this co-occurring pattern can be effective.

Drug addiction is a serious problem. It’s more serious for pregnant women. Fighting drug addiction requires determination, discipline and hard work, but it’s worth the effort. If a pregnant woman is struggling with addiction, she should take it really seriously and seek help and treatment as soon as possible. This is not only for herself, but for the good of her unborn child as well.

Babies are a Gift from God

By: Steve Wukmer

Psalm 127:3 states "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward." Both of these phrases in this verse prove that a "Baby" comes directly from the God of Heaven and that the Heavenly Father bestows upon Parents a heavenly gift from above, their baby.

The word "Heritage" has a meaning that gives that proves that all children are God's children as well as direct predetermined gift from above to parents. Jeremiah 1:5, there is evidence of this when the Word of God speaks of the Prophet Jeremiah before his birth; "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto nations." God in all His Omniscience (knowledge) knew what parents Jeremiah was going to be born to, when he was going to be born, and what purpose he was to have in his life. We can learn from this verse that God in His Omniscience knows every child that will be born, to whom they will be born to, and what purpose they will have in life. The baby that is born is the "Heritage" of the Lord.

The phrase: "The fruit of the womb" gives a clear proof that the Heavenly Father through His omnipotent power allows the womb of the woman to be opened at the right time for the baby to be conceived. Evidence of this is found in Genesis 29:31, this verse speaks of Leah and Rachel, "And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, He opened her womb: but Rachel was barren (The Lord closed her womb)." Other verses in the Word of God that shows His omnipotent power over the womb are Genesis 30:22, "And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her and opened her womb"; 1 Samuel 1:5 speaking of Hannah, "... the Lord had shut up her womb"; 1 Samuel 1:19 – 20 "... the Lord remembered her …. after Hannah had conceived." These verses are just a few places that show God's omnipotent power over the womb and the conception of a baby. The baby is "the fruit of the womb" that begins at conception.

"The fruit of the womb is His Reward" The reward or gift of the womb is the child that is born to the Parents. Psalm 139:13 – 16, David gives Praise to the Heavenly Father who watched over him, protected him, and even wrote all of his members (each body part) in a book while in his mother's womb. "For Thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them." When babies are conceived in the womb, this is the beginning of our Heavenly Father miraculous creation and handiwork as the baby begins to develop. After about nine months of The Heavenly Father using the womb of the mother to nurture, protect, and care for the baby; the "reward" or gift of the Heavenly Father is born to the parents. Therefore, Babies are God's Divine creation given to parents as a reward or gift.

In conclusion; and the proof has been given, Babies are truly a divine Gift from the Heavenly Father which He bestows upon Parents and gives them the responsibility of raising that baby for Him. Praise the Lord today if He has counted you worthy to give you the gift of life, your baby.

Dental Problems in Pregnant Women

By: Brian Walker

Making dentistry appointments before getting pregnant is helpful to maintain good dental care and any dental complications which might be prevented. Dental visit during pregnancy is essential to ensure a healthy dental care but it's necessary only in the second trimester.

Many pregnant women experience teeth problems due to change of hormones. It is always advisable for pregnant women to let the dentist know that they are pregnant before any dental procedure. This is very important to avoid harming the growing baby inside. It is not advisable to have tooth x-lay or teeth whitening during the first trimester due to complications which might arise. Some of these procedures are safe done after giving birth.

Swelling of gums during pregnancy is very common thus it is not only advisable to visit a dentist for checking up, but it's important to cleanse your teeth to decrease the chance of having infection. Some drugs or dental procedures are not safe at all in pregnant women. Some antibiotics when taken by pregnant women interfere with the development of the baby. Some drugs which are administered during dental procedures might affect the development of the baby's teeth and they should be avoided at all cost.

When dentist are performing dental procedures to a pregnant women, they should handle the patient with a lot of care and put the patient in a comfortable position. This can be done by placing a pillow under at the back while lying down on the dental chair.

Pregnant women are advised to eat a healthy balanced diet especially food rich in protein, calcium and vitamins. The baby's first teeth develops at the age of three months and some minerals found in dairy products like cheese and yoghurt are essential to the development of the baby's teeth. Frequent brushing of the teeth helps a long way in preventing dental problems. Flossing frequently reduces the chance of bacterial infection in your mouth. Chewing of gums during pregnancy is good as it keeps the mouth from getting dry which can cause problems with your teeth. It's good to avoid bed snacks and eat food which contains no or less with sugar. Pregnant women are advised not to smoke during the entire pregnancy not only for the baby but to prevent gingivitis infection.

It is very crucial for pregnant women to watch what goes in their mouth as scientist have proved that some bacteria causing decay can be passed to the baby. Since most pregnant women vomit a lot especially during the first few months in their pregnancy, it is recommended they frequently wash their mouth. Avoiding tooth decay is not only important for a pregnant woman but it is necessary to avoid risk of having a premature birth when the tooth is left untreated. Some cases need tooth filling to prevent decay and this should be done with minimal medical application to reduce any risk to the unborn baby.

Watch the following signs during pregnancy as they may be a sign of tooth infection- bleeding of gums, redness of the gums, swelling of gums, and bad breath.

IUI Success Increased Through Massage And Herbs

By: Rosalline Carrigan

For those facing fertility issues, there are several options that may aide in successful conception. One of those methods is a process known as intrauterine insemination. Adding a regimen of natural herbs and some self massage techniques especially designed for fertility issues may increase the chances of IUI success.

The process of intrauterine insemination. is one where the semen is injected directly inside a uterus that has reached prime fertility conditions so that the chance of conception is higher. The procedure is not complicated and does not take much time, nor is there any pain, only mild discomfort. IUI is more affordable than in-vitro fertilization, also known as IVF.

Some physicians prefer that the woman take fertility drugs to enhance her chances of producing more eggs which will make the opportunities for fertilization increase. Though the medications are not mandatory to the process, the chances of a successful procedure are generally higher with them. The average success rate for IUI procedures in general is between 15-20%.

Aside from taking fertility drugs, some physicians have a few routines and techniques that they believe will benefit the couple and increase their likelihood of conception. Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine that can be used to improve blood flow and relax the female so that egg production is encouraged. When used on males, acupuncture lessens stress and allows for the production of stronger semen in greater numbers.

Some natural herbs are known to promote conditions that counteract the negatives blocking normal fertility. The right herb combination can regulate a woman's menstrual cycle, stimulate the growth of healthier eggs in abundance, as well as provide richer blood to the uterus which will encourage the uterine walls to thicken, which is better for implantation. The proper combination for the male providing the sperm could generate semen that is stronger and more likely to succeed.

Self massage is a technique by which several female fertility issues can be alleviated by manipulating the reproductive organs through massage. The technique focuses on making sure the uterus is in the proper position and properly relaxed so that it can function at its best. Through massage, the fallopian tubes are cleared while healthy blood is sent flowing to the ovaries to the benefit of the eggs.

Chances of successful conception with intrauterine insemination can be improved with the addition of herbs and massage. Relaxing and increasing blood flow can be major factors in IUI success. Creating optimal conditions for egg and sperm production can also lead to greater rates of fertilization.

Is the BOB Revolution CE Any Good?

By: Kristy Dunst

A good stroller can make the difference between an enjoyable ride and a dreaded one. After all, what kind of person would enjoy pushing around a stroller that felt every bump, was difficult to push around and wasn’t enjoyable for the child inside? The BOB Revolution CE promises to be a wonderful option for someone who wants to enjoy their walks in the stroller, but is it really as good as they say it is?

What is it?
The BOB Revolution CE is a three wheeled stroller (two in the back, one in the front) that is designed to be used on city streets, sidewalks and parks. Optimized for walking on pavement, the Revolution CE has a front wheel that swivels, which means that it will maneuver quite easily over a variety of terrain. The wheels are filled with air instead of being solid rubber which proves to be an easier and smoother ride than other models. The seat also provides comfort with the ability to recline and it is also heavily padded to provide comfort to your child riding inside. The canopy can be pushed up to allow your child to look around, or it can be pulled down to shield your little one from the sun. A transparent plastic section allows you to see your child while pushing the stroller.

Is it Good?

The BOB Revolution CE is priced higher than many of the cheaper strollers, so is it really worth the price? To find out if it is worth of your child, it is always a good idea to read reviews written by other mothers and fathers who have used it for their children to see what their opinions are of it. Here is an example of what you will find when you look for reviews about the BOB Revolution strollers.

"I am so thrilled with my BOB stroller.. I have purchased many strollers and joggers before this one. I am regretting not buying it when my first son was born. This stroller rolls so well while jogging or walking. All terrains are easy to maneuver. It is on the expensive side but it is way worth it."

Kristy takes her kids jogging with her in a BOB Ironman Duallie Stroller, like the one discussed at http://bob-revolution.com/bob-ironman-stroller-review/.
